Gold Spinner Bell

Hello everyone! I have been following Sandy Allnock for a while now. I even got to participate in a copic marker class she did in California earlier this year (still have a lot to learn about that medium) but I am glad I got her HEX CHART. It makes using these markers so much easier for me.

Today is about her GO FOR THE GOLD free online class. You can check out all the details on her blog HERE.

I have 3-d molding paste that I added GOLD stickles to which worked... but first I tried adirondack gold mixative  which turned it grey then I added some brusho yellow ochre, it did better.... got rid of the grey but was not very shiny, that is when I added the gold stickles, which made it gold and gave it that sparkly touch I wanted. I do plan to buy some of the products but I got inspired by her and wanted to make a card TODAY... LOL. So I used what I had. I was inspired by her card. 1. That it was so personal and 2. It gives a lasting impression as a keep sake. That is what I wanted to do with this card. Make a lasting impression for some lucky recipient on my Christmas Card List.. (probably a family member and you know they have to gush over what you do lol)

I created my background on the front of my card by using a large Hero Arts background stamp created by Lia Griffith and stamped it in Versa Magic chalk ink RED MAGIC is the name of the color.

I created a spinner card using the gold paste and a die cut by DEE's DISTINCTIVELY.

I created 2 bells one for each side. One side I took a stamp and stuck it in the paste. I took Sandy's advice and sprayed it with water first so it would come unstuck easier.

The other side I used a striped stencil

there are many youtube tutorials on making spinner cards.

Here is a peek at the inside... JINGLE BELLS stamp from Happy Little Stampers Mixed Christmas Sentiments.
