October Christmas Challenge

Do you ever have those moments when something just pulls together and it was not even the direction you were going... This is one of those cards... I knew the topic was going to be Poinsettia.. so when I won the Ellen Hutson Mondo Poinsettia set I waited for it to come in the mail so I could play with it for this challenge.. well I stamped and colored, and then did it on water color paper, and water colored it..then did it on Neenah and colored with copic  markers...and nothing was coming out the way I envisioned...... and then I had this scrap piece of paper left over from the blog hop last month just sitting on my desk starring at me going... SEE ME !! USE ME!!!... and thought I wonder what that would look like and how would I incorporate the red... and Wa la... and I absolutely love how it turned out.

This stamp set is from Ellen Hutson.Designed by Julie Ebersole.. and I won it it a blog hop just like we had last month... Isn't that cool... out of 336 commenters I won...LOL I am still pinching myself. God knew I would need if for this challenge ;).

The sentiment is designed by non other than our fearless leader Kylie Purtel. Is is part of the mixed Christmas sentiments... I love this stamp set. I know I have said it before... but I do!! It goes with all my Christmas Images.

I used vesafine ink and embossed with clear because on shiney foil paper like this it would take forever to dry, and probably never would. I used red and gold stickles for the embellies simply drawing  dots and lines..

I hope I have inspired you to think out of the box to create and just let it flow.
I can't wait to see what you make.

You can go shop HERE

BUT IF YOU PLAY YOU MIGHT WIN THIS STAMP SET

THANKS FOR STOPPING BY

I hope you enJOYed

  2. This is so different Leslee and the stripes of red on the petals is complemented so beautifully by the stripes in the background, and I love the pretty gold of the flower centres, and the sentiment stamped across one of the background stripes is a fantastic idea. x

  4. First, congrats on this fab win, and you surely put it to great use on the lovely poinsettia card. Love the silvery stripes with the mod poinsettia stamped over it. The veining really made the design stand out beautifully. Also like this so versatile HLS Christmas set and the way you've stamped it over the stripe. Great designing, and yep,it was meant that you win this to make this amazing card. TFS

  7. Your approach to the subject is unusual. I love the combination of silver belts and transparent flowers decorated with only a trace of color. Beautiful card and very modern design.
