Up up and away

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Things that fly I have had this stamp since 2013 and couldn't quite figure it out till I saw another challenge for basket. (but sadly I miss the deadline for it) Then I saw  this challenge and decided to add a few more touches.

I m measured out where the fold would be and then stamped the image how far I wanted it to float above the card. I used an exacto knife and let the image soar above the clouds. This is a one layer card except for the 3 clouds.

This image is from Art impressions, and is a limited edition that is no longer sold. Then broke the molds to make it. It was to Raise money for the Arms International's Kambi Teso outreach in Eldoret Kenya. For a little boy that lost his life because of the conditions he lived in. I thought it was an awesome thing.. so I bought one.
I colored it with colored pencils and used Gamsol to blend.. boy it makes it blend... but it was easier on the images... then I tried it on the background.. that was a lot of work.  But I loved how it turned out. I really love the lady in green's look on her face and thought about what she is seeing to make her look that way.... well you know these ladies go on a lot of adventures and probably get into some trouble.. so maybe they went a little too high... high enough to fly in the clouds.

I used a stencil to draw 3 clouds then fussy cut them out of vellum and layered them on the card. The clouds on the bottom of the card was simply drawn by using a stencil and just not colored in with anything.
I would love to go on an adventure with these ladies sometime. Oh wait... I just did. :)

I want to link up my card to http://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/wednesdaychallenge/simon-says-things-that-fly/

Hope you enJOYed
