Shirtainly!!

Well it is almost fathers day! It shirtainly is! I made this card for my poppy ( that is what I call my dad ) because when I was growing up his idea of dressing up was to wear a nice Hawaiian shirt, levi;s and wallaby's. So when I found a oragami fold for a shirt and I had this sentiment wala  a card is born.

The background is wash tape I have had in my stash for ever and never used it.

I put three black buttons for a little detail.

I want to link up to AAA cards Birthday Extravaganza
I made them a girly card already you can see it here Happy Birthday so this is a little more masculine

I want to link up at Shopping our stash wash tape this is the oldest tape I have funny how it is all black and white :)

the challenge is make a card to brighten someones day... this card will definetley brighten my poppy's day.

I want to link up to Fusion challenge I put a little masculine twist on this feminine picture. The washi tape and sentiment represents the letter in the back ground. The yellow shirt represents the dress :)

I want to link up to Naughty or Nice Friendship

Who doesn't want to be Shirtainly terrific

I hope you enJOYed

Happy Birthday!

I have been joining  in over AAA cards for a while now and they are celebrating their 1st birthday.. how cool is that! They are having a blog hop in celebration with lots of sponsors. You should really go check it out.. they really went all out with inspiration! So with out further ado... here is my card.

I have a lot of elements on this card that I just love. The embossed happy birthday is a folder that I cut to follow the curve of the sentiment. I die cut balloons from Simon says stamps. I inked pink paper up with distress ink Victorian Velvet to create a edge and a highlight for the balloons. I put the small one in the folder to bring the happy out since I cut off the y when I cut it to match the sentiment. I then stamped the sentiment on the balloon. and lined it up. The third balloon I popped up so it would have some dimension.

 I

I tied gold thread around each balloon and let them dangle so they would have some curl.

Happy Birthday EXTRAVAGNZA!!! for AAA cards congratulations on your 1st year.

I want to link up to Addicted to stamps CAS challenge

http://happylittlestampers.blogspot.ca/2015/05/hls-may-cas-challenge-dt-call.html this is my 2nd entry for the DT for this cute challenge blog.. I just love them... I wish I would have found them a while ago.

Be Yourself

There are 3 challenges I want to enter this card in Addicted to CAS their code word is BIRDS and they are having a DT call.  I am keeping my fingers crossed.

I started this card by embossing the birds from a folder that I have had in my stash for a while and I have never used before. I seem to be doing a lot of that lately. Which is good for my pocket book, and my mojo. You see sometimes I get caught up in doing more shopping than crafting with what I have.  What better way to use what you have than to be challenged and inspired by others.

I inked up the top of the card with distress ink Tumbled glass and Broken China. I stamped the sentiment (again in my stash for a while and never used) in Versafine onyx black and embossed with clear powder.

The bird die I have used before  (yea) I die cut it out of another card I was working that didn't turn out so well. (what a way to use your stash lol ) it is inked with Distress Ink's  ripe persimmon, spiced marmalade, and rusty hinge to create an hombre orange.

The other place I want to link up to is Casual Friday's 4th birthday with the specific colors of Black, White, Orange and Turquoise. Which happens to be Addicted to CAS sponsors this challenge.. How fun is that. What better way to CELEBRATE  than by being yourself!! By the way they are also having a sale on the their Stamps.. go check it out and buy something.

I also want to link this card up to Just Us Girls Embossing there is quite a bit of embossing going's on  here :)

Hope you enJOYed

Purple buzzilion

Hello, have you ever made a card and someone saw it and said "can you make me one, but with these colors?" LOL well that is what happened to my last card. A friend of mine at work wanted one like it but purple. Ok I can do that. And then it turns out just a little better than the last one with more planning, because there are no mistakes in card making just happy little accidents.

Well here is my card, a lot like the last one just different colors and linking up to different challenges.  Life is a challenge sometimes. I prayed and asked God to give "murphy" a vacation, but it seems he just simply tied his hands behind his back. But that is ok because God is by my side and I can handle anything with HIM beside me. Well the challenges in life I do like are card making and I found some fun ones to link up to with this card.
The stamp is from Craft lounge. I don't think they are in business any longer but I love this stamp set. It is called spring sketches. They are big and bold ( which is part of a challenge)  I stamped the image in Versafine ink onyx black. After die cutting my card Sizzix Card square flip die (which is part of a challenge ). I love it. It is so easy and it is only one piece of paper but looks very layered.

My little bee is from stamping up.. I just love his traveling  (which is part of a challenge) little tail message. "YOU ARE ONE IN A BUZZILLION" Which the person this card is going to is.

I stamped what is probably the inside of the card with Thanks for being wonderful you (another challenge)

I took my wink of stella pen and some distress ink in DUSYT CONCORD and MUSTARD SEED which are opposite colors (and part of a challenge)

Look at that shine

I love how the two flowers lined up so there are actually two colored flowers

Big bold and beautiful is the challenge at Shopping our stash, which is just AWESOME I think because what better place to shop?

OPOSITE color on the color wheel is the challenge at Less is more, They always have such fun challenges and really stretch my card making.

TRAVEL  is the theme at Curtain call, Bee's travel don't they... on and on and on to different flowers

Appreciation/ Thank you is the challenge at The pink Elephant.. how cute is that little elephant and so fancy too with her polkadot ears and her bow

Die cutting is the theme.. at Happy little stampers... I just love that title because I am a happiest when I am stamping.

                                                                  Hope you enjoyed

And happy MOTHER's day if you are a mother in any kind of way, if I don't see you before then!

You are one in buzzillion

My aunt asked me to make her some cards. I am honored but it seems when I create for someone else  my mojo goes out the window. When I create for me it seems to flow a little better. What do you do when your mojo flies out the window? LOL well for me I clean. I got a lot done while it was gone. My craft room is completely rearranged, and cleaned and flowy now,  my daughter came in and said "WOW there is a lot of room in here now". Is that bad? While I was at work on my lunch one day I started sketching my room and rearranging things on paper and liked how it looked. So I tried it that way. I even have room for a guest chair now :)

Well here is my card that I made for my aunt. She wanted some special thank you cards. I made 10 each with a little variation. This is a flip it card. I love them because they are one layer. I used some stamps from Craft lounge I used Versafine ink in onyx black

I colored one flower with some distress inks (mustard seed, ripe persimmon, and spiced marmalade)

I stamped the little bee in the same ink it's from Stamping up and used a wink of stella on the wings and the flower petals

The sentiment on the inside is from Simon says stamp the January card kit of 2015 hand lettered winter wishes.

I want to link up to AAA Cards there is a hole in my card there is a hole in my card, it is just square :)

I also want to link up to One layer simplicity challenge blossom  my card is one layer it just has some folds in it to make it flip :)

I want to also link up to CAS * OLOGY SHAPE CHALLENGE my card does have a shape it can be different shapes depending on how you pull it it can be a square or a rectangle :)

Sorry it's been so long since my last post. A lot went on.. trips to the Urgent care then sent to emergency room. hubby leaving out of town and you know when he leaves everything goes wrong LOL like the car and the water heater and well you know "murphy" . So I told murphy he needs to go on vacation. Then I prayed.... why didn't I do that in the first place. LOL Thank you GOD for meeting all my needs and then some, and locking murphy up for a while.

Hope you enJOYed

Congratulations

Over at Always playing with paper  there is another challenge and this is the inspiration photo .

I was really inspired by the color red, how the element in the middle  has a white halo around it and the newsprint in the background.
So here is my card

I stamped the background stamp in black ink it reminds me of the newsprint like someone is spreading some good news, which brings me to the sentiment which is from Avery Elle  stamped in Memento Black ink. I used my heart die from Spellbinders (media mixage) to cut the heart.  I inked around the heart to make it stand out and faded it to the edges. The red goes a little ombre in my opinion, which is very popular right now.

Since I got a little vintage vibe of someone coming home from the military to wed his love from the photo I wanted to give it some masculine and feminine qualities. The pearls under the sentiment remind me of her dress and the three black dots remind me of the wings on is uniform.

I also want to link up to casology.blogspot.com week-143-ombre
Avery Elle is their sponsor this week which just happens to be where my sentiment is from.
